Very Interesting event. Keep up the good work. Good for our future generation. Cheers! - Baba Jolly commented on Minister Lim Boon Heng is guest of honour at Jurong Green semi-finals
Among all the contestants, the familly angels were very jovial and they did very well. They seem to have enjoyed themselves very much. I have enjoyed myself too. - Melissa commented on Jenny Chua’s triumph at the Great Cook-off finals
Congratulations to MY LITTLE DUMPLING! Mdm Yeo looks very experienced...yummm, I wish I could try some of her food (: - Vivien Meleen commented on Watch Team Family "Simon Lim" Cooking
Love Simon's boisterous laughter - look out Emeril Lagasse, you've got competition. He's got spunk, great attitude and showmanship naturale. All the American shows have some form of 'staging' or 'training'. This is very entertaining and nostalgic. Singaporeans overseas should be sent out a link to view these videos as they show the wholesomeness of strong family values. - Vivien Meleen commented on Watch Team Family "Kelvin Kai" Cooking
Talk about 'raw TV' - some of us may have been in Kelvin's shoes before, forgetting the main dish left on the kitchen counter as we rush off. Nice ad-libbing by Kelvin, staying cool without putting his audience through an ordeal of blame or explanation about the missing ingredients. Men out there should learn about 'respect' from Kelvin. Obviously a gentleman surrounded by many women, his mother-in-law, his wife's siblings and daughter. - Vivien Meleen commented on Madam Saedah's Cooking Angels at the Finals
LOVE IT! The interaction between grandmother, Nora and Shafio is refreshing. This is the real "Survivors" show. Easy access to weapons and yet we saw no blood, no four-letter words, no back-stabbing or blaming the other participants and no one was perfect. Nora is my hero because she pain-stakingly sliced the vegetable/fruit and dried the lettuce one leaf at a time - exactly the way I will do it. This 3-generational project must go on - it worked for Madam Saedah when she mentioned the tip from her grandmother. - May Achenbach commented on Minister Lim Boon Heng is guest of honour at Jurong Green semi-finals
I was at both the Braddell Heights and Jurong Green competitions. It was really enjoyable to watch the contestants performing, some more vocal, some more humourous, fun and natural like SIMON, (unusual for chinese, hahaha - those were the days back long long long ago when the writer grew up and Singaporeans were inhibited and did not know how to clap, laugh and "jogeg" naturally), the shy young cook for e.g. peeling eggs with gentle hands, the typical today youth with headphones in a cooking contest answering his mobile, the lst generation who mostly spoke in their dialects (thumbs up) handdown their knowhow (found that wonderful) and then the very lovely malay family who made the rainbow rice dish with prawns and their overwhelming supporters with song and dance, all in a good afternnon cooking contest! Truly enjoyed it especially not knowing what to expect and also lots of surprises at the winning teams. Great participation and good food. Would be good to see more of this kind of action. Keep it up Singapore! From a Singaporean German PR in Germany - hokien ah nyeh commented on Watch Team Family "Kelvin Kai" Cooking
Hey Kelvin, Are you sure the soup was cooked by you? How can a cook forget so many ingredients, bak kut so important and you didn't bring! Aiyoh! - May Achenbach commented on Finals: Can Leonard be Jenny Chua’s secret weapon?

The entire family did a remarkable presentation and the son added an interesting touch bywearing his apron like a toga - Betty L Khoo-Kingsley (Aunty BattyBoo) commented on Learn how to peel eggs with Andrea, the pretty girl who would not smile
Andrea dear, no wonder u are not smiling ...it's hard huh? because you didn't first CRACK the egg (like Humpty Dumpty, u gotta bash the egg on a hard surface so it'll have cracks all over...then you can peel, easy. And make sure you use kampung chicken eggs...because only kampung chickens are allowed to run around, like you. Other chickens are all cruelly caged up and you wouldn't like that, would you? Aunty BATTYBOO - Ilsa Sharp commented on Where are the men gone? Is the Great cook-Off dominated by women?
Well, this wife isn't that surprised - if you got my husband Siva Choy into the contest, he would probably only be able to produce sardine sambal and/or fried rice! - Ilsa Sharp commented on Recipe from "Fong Kit": Hakka Yam Abacus
This one sounds really unusual, and delicious! I also love the earthiness of being advised to test whether it is cooked with your fingers! Typical Hakka practicality! - arlene Imanaka commented on Watch Team Family "Jenny Chua" Cooking

Hi Jean Thanks for posting the videos, it was really fun. one thing though, if you can you may want to correct a peice of incorrect information; that's my mama in the team with my daugther and I, not my mother-in-law, on the whole, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, thanks again! God bless you and sylvia, Merci Beaucoup! :-0 Simon Lim
